Justin Chambers

All About Justin:
He was raised along with his twin bother Jason and 3 older siblings.  He is part German and part Irish.  As a young man Chambers flipped burgers at Hardee’s and sold orthopedic shoes, then signed with a modeling agency and tackled print work across Europe in the early 90s.  Chambers commenced supporting roles in big-screen featured films, telemovies and prime-time series.  He began with a telemovies in 1997 Rose Hill.  In 2001 he was seen in The Musketeer and The Wedding Planner.  In 2005 he landed the role as Alex Karev in Grey’s Anatomy.  Chambers and his wife, Keisha has five children: oldest to youngest Isabella, (twins) Maya and Kaila, Eva, and Jackson.  Chambers met Keisha, who use to work as a model agency booker, when he was a model for Calvin Klein, and they tied the knot in 1993.  In 2007 he was a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series (Grey’s Anatomy.)

Mainly his mouth! He is also a bit of a smart-ass and his punctuality needs work.

Likes:
Joe's bar; wrestling; nurses.

Dislikes:
Lying to patients; not getting any OR time; running errands for Dr. Mark Sloan.

Family:
Alex grew up watching his father, a musician and drug addict, physically abuse his mother. He became a wrestler in college and eventually took his pent-up anger out on his dad. Soon after, Alex's father disappeared.

Notable Relationships:
Alex has been a bit of a womanizer. After an on/off relationship with Izzie Stevens, the pair is now 'just friends.' He has also been romantically linked to Nurse Olivia, Lexie Grey and, very recently, a former patient named Rebecca who ended up having a personality disorder and now is in a mental institute.  He is not back with Izzie and the two seem to be doing great.  He is having a very hard time with the fact that Izzie has Cancer and does not know how to deal with it.

Other:
Alex had shown promise in neonatal surgery under the watchful eyes of Dr. Addison Montgomery; despite the fact he never wanted to work on "the vagina squad." Recently, though, Alex seems to have been enjoying plastics.
