All About Eric:
Dane moved to L.A. after graduation, and immediately started paying in small roles on television series such as: Saved by the Bell, The Wonder Years, Roseanne and Married with Children.  Dane’s first major film appearance was in 1999’s “The Basket”.   Almost ten years of getting by with minor appearances finally paid off for Dane in 2003, when he began appearing in the popular sci-fi, Charmed as ‘Jason Dean’ Phoebe’s boyfriend/boss..  He was also seen in the movie X-Men: The Last Stand in 2006, that same year he joined the cast of Grey’s Anatomy as the Plastic Surgeon Mark Sloan aka. He is continually works with the cast of Grey's Anatomy in the upcoming seasons and filming in March of 2008 is a comedy called ‘Marley & Me’ with Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston. McSteamy.  On October 29, 2004, in Las Vegas, Eric Dane married actress Rebecca Gayheart.

Notable Relationships:
Mark was the catalyst for the end of Derek's marriage to Addison, after Derek caught him sleeping with his wife. Since relocating to Seattle, Mark has slept with countless nurses and even a resident or two (specifically, Callie Torres). He once tried to become a "man of substance" to impress Erica Hahn, but failed miserably.  He is now in a serious relationship with Lexie Grey also known as “Little Grey”.

Other:
Nicknamed "McSteamy" by the female interns, Mark's arrival in Seattle caused more than a few upsets among the staff at SGH. Very little is known about the hunky, mysterious plastic surgeon, but the mystery surrounding him only adds to his charm. He is the kind of guy women hate falling for, but just cannot resist. Oh, and he can even suture his own cut face after Derek slugged him!
